There has been a village
Shop & Post Office in Toft for many years, and it has always been
the hub of this special little village.
Chatelle Martine and Ingrid van Rooyen
have both been Managers of the superb 18 Hole Championship golf course
in the village
- Cambridge National Golf -
and when the shop became available they jumped at the opportunity to
keep this little gem going and to maintain the high standards for which
it has long been known.
Ingrid and her family have lived in the village for over 8 years, and with 3 generations and an extended family living locally, has a strong identity with the village.
Chatelle has lived in Great Eversden and now lives in Toft. Having worked in Toft, and been associated with the village for the past 6 years, she is well and truly a Toft-ite!
As well as the usual cornucopia of goods found in a traditional Village Shop and Post Office, Toft Shop stocks a variety of local East Anglian goodies and local specialities - cakes, preserves and jams.
We were both brought up
in South Africa and as a result are offering South African Expatriates some
"Foodie Memories from Home".
We are hoping that adventurous locals will want to try a flavour of
Africa!
Quality imported South African goods are available and the
range includes old favourites as well as new products.
